We are going through an intentional Revitalization Process, please pardom us while our site is under construcion!

God is about doing NEW things!
Part of Revitalization may also include 'Rebranding' a church. Yesterday (January 5th), First Baptist Church Dent approved a name change! This will include a new purpose and logo.
Our church will soon be known as Beacon of Christ Church, "Reflecting the Light of Christ, through the lives of ordinary people."
This is a huge step for us! I want to thank our Leadership Team and our people for capturing a new vision for impacting people. We are 16 months into this. God has blessed with 16 additions to the church (people that were not going anywhere), and 12 baptisms!
I am humbled. I know God has Divinely decided to do this work and as Lead Pastor, I never want to take this for granted.
We pray for other struggling congregations. May God help you see new life, vision and raise up leaders to move you forward!

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

We invite you to come and worship the Lord with us on Sunday morning. We enjoy a blended style of music that is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship music. We especially value a clear and practical study of God’s Word. We would love to have you come and join us as we seek to grow in our personal relationship with the Lord. In the same way we encourage you, the individual, to listen to the Lord speak through the message of the music and the biblical preaching as if He was speaking directly to you as an audience of one. Come and worship with us!

Generosity Encouraged

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
    their righteousness endures forever.”

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
